Making This Gym More Fit

Farmingdale, NY

SUNY Farmingdale State College, Nold Hall Gymnasium

Renovation of the Nold Hall Gymnasium required replacing the synthetic gymnasium track and basketball court floor with a new built-up, 2-inch thick wood sports floor for basketball and a synthetic track surface at the perimeter of the room. Additionally, existing manually operated bleachers were replaced with new electrically operated bleachers and related modifications.

To get the gym fully operational, Collado coordinated power requirements for the new motorized bleachers as well as six new electrical-power operated backboards with shot clocks; extended power and data conduits to new score keeper location; and adjusted the height of all fire alarm devices fromĀ 6-8 ft. above the finished floor [AFF] to a height of 15 ft. AFF.
