Manhattan University - Various Projects

Collado Engineering has a long-standing relationship with Manhattan University, with many team members being proud alumni and active contributors to campus initiatives. Our firm has supported the university on a range of engineering projects, including the following recent efforts:

Collado Engineering is providing MEP design services for the renovation of the 2,200-square-foot Thermal–Fluids and Manufacturing Lab in Leo Engineering Room 228. The project addresses persistent temperature control issues and includes new ventilation, lighting, benches, instructional equipment, compressed air supply, and independent temperature controls. Construction is scheduled for summer 2025, with completion before the Fall semester. As a minor renovation, the project will not be filed with the NYC Department of Buildings.

We are also assisting the university in evaluating the condition of the existing cooling towers serving Thomas Hall and nearby buildings. After reviewing proposals from three contractors, CE is conducting a site survey and providing a technical and financial assessment to recommend the most effective path forward in collaboration with the facilities team.

Finally, CE is supporting the planned replacement of two aging atmospheric boilers in Horan Hall. These units, installed in 1990, are beyond their useful life. Our team is evaluating feasible replacement options—including condensing boilers and venting strategies—to meet the university’s operational needs within a tight summer installation window.

These represent only a selection of the many projects Collado Engineering has successfully completed for Manhattan University over the years.
