Elevating Education Through Engineering

New York, NY

Trevor Day School

Trevor Day School, a leading private institution on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, expanded its facilities on West 88th Street to accommodate a growing student body. Collado Engineering provided comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design services to modernize the historic building and improve its energy performance.

The project included replacing outdated systems with high-efficiency solutions, including a new gas-fired boiler in a rooftop penthouse and a centralized cooling and ventilation system with variable frequency drives to reduce energy use. The electrical infrastructure was upgraded and repurposed to support new classrooms, offices, a library, and an advanced telecommunications network.

Collado Engineering also designed a new building-wide fire alarm system, upgraded sprinklers, and modernized plumbing systems with new drainage, domestic water piping, and centralized hot water heaters.

Through innovative engineering and sustainable design, Collado Engineering helped Trevor Day School create a modern, efficient, and comfortable learning environment for students and faculty.
