In its Master Plan Assessment of the existing Viacom Data Center in northern New Jersey, Collado reviewed mechanical and electrical system configurations including cooling towers, pumps, dry coolers, computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units, distribution piping, electrical service, emergency generator, UPS and distribution systems.

MEP system capacity and current loading were analyzed to determine the spare capacity available on each system.  The integrated Data Center mechanical and electrical support systems were studied, to identify “capacity match” between systems and provide recommendations on the system reinforcement required to support anticipated growth of the Data Center loads.

Collado provided a Master Plan Report summarizing the findings and recommendations which were presented to Viacom.  The required upgrades were agreed upon and implemented in a two-phase approach, and formed the basis for the long-term growth capacity of the Data Center.
