Firm founder and Chairman Albert (Al) Collado leverages four decades of professional experience to guide and mentor younger members of the firm and is involved in all high-level executive decisions. Mr. Collado is the “Keeper of the Faith” ensuring the firm maintains its value-centric approach to design, for which the firm is recognized.

Throughout his career, Al has been involved in a variety of projects spanning the architectural-engineering spectrum—from corporate offices, schools, and universities to healthcare, institutional, and industrial facilities—in both domestic and international markets. He is driven by his desire to fully understand the client’s goals and to find the simplest, most cost-effective solution to meet their objectives.

Committed to the betterment of the industry, Mr. Collado has held leadership positions in numerous professional organizations. He served as President of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) Research Foundation and the NYC Chapter of ASPE, as well as a member of the Board of Governors of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineer’s (ASHRAE) Bi-State Chapter. He has lectured extensively on the topic of fire protection, published numerous articles, and served on editorial advisory boards for trade publications.
