Made Nice Restaurant

Made Nice is a new fast casual restaurant located at 8 West 28th Street. The restaurant occupies part of the retail ground floor and cellar area of an existing 4-story building, which contains other retail occupancies and offices. To accommodate the restaurant occupancy, Collado upgraded the building utility services, including electric, gas and water, coordinating closely with the base building engineer, Con Edison, and the Department of Environmental Protection from initial design through construction.

New HVAC systems were designed for the dining and kitchen areas. Air conditioning and heating is provided through variable refrigerant flow (VRF) heat pumps in conjunction with energy recovery ventilators for pre-conditioning outside air. The kitchen consists of new commercial cooking hood with a dedicated variable volume kitchen exhaust fan, which is interlocked with a new rooftop, gas-fired make-up unit. A grease interceptor captures waste during the cooking process. State of the art fire alarm and lighting systems were also provided, including a backup lighting inverter system.
